Naomi's Diary Personal experience

From twitter streets…

I told myself I was going to stay off social media, and for the most part I have, but somehow twitter finds a way to get me back, or is it the other way around?… well, who cares?

Insert song… please don’t judge me, and I won’t judge you… But I digress…

Was scrolling on the streets of twitter and came across a tweet. It was a shout out to all those accounts that have stopped tweeting because their owners passed away.

As the curious person that you all already know I am, I started clicking on the individual handles of those who have passed from this side of eternity, dropped by their friends or people who knew them in response to the initial tweet.

I wanted to know what their thoughts were and if they had any inkling that, that would be their last tweet, retweet or like.

Some of them had been active just a few days into this present month.

I wondered that if they knew it was going to be their last, would they have still tweeted, retweeted or liked what they had tweeted, retweeted and liked?

If there is anything I have come to know and accept, is that curiousity sometimes creates more questions than answers.

I would never know the answers to these questions, but that doesn’t stop me from wondering what my last tweet, retweet or like will be.

That’s if twitter is still around then, if not it could easily be on another social media platform, or my last text message, write up or phone note.

I can only pray and hope, its something I am proud off, and something my loved ones will be able to read, smile about and remember me fondly by.

My thoughts for today. See you whenever…

NB: There is a high prevalence of ‘ifs’ in this post.

    Very deep thoughts here Nao.
Well, I also have similar thoughts and this serves to re-align me, because it is sometimes difficult to maintain one’s calm in a fallen world like ours . But when I remeber that it may be my last..then I “reset”.
    May God help us all.
